On the other hand, when I create a new mosaic and load the tiles from another folder, run Statistics and Overview, they display OK in Pro. The Color Matching Method parameter allows you to choose an algorithm to color match the datasets in your mosaic. If an improper color map mode is chosen, the output may not turn out as you expect. I attached the geoprocessing results of the old mosaic from ArcMap in case you want to have a look. You can use the Mosaic tool even if the raster datasets have different color maps however, you must choose the proper color map mode. (And only unmanaged raster catalogs reference to the image by its path.) If that's true, trying to access the path that has been used for loading the tiles in the first place makes no sense to me. Is that normal? I'm a bit baffled by this, because I always thought a mosaic stores the image physically in a blob field for any further processing. I can see the old path to the tiles that does not exist anymore being called during geoprocessing. To serve a mosaic dataset using ArcGIS Server requires the Image extension license. The mosaic dataset is supported in all types of geodatabases (personal, file, and ArcSDE). Furthermore, it makes them corrupt so they cannot be used in Desktop afterwards. A new raster data modelmosaic datasetshas been introduced.

I have installed ArcGIS 10.3.1 with 64-bit geoprocessing. Remove any existing overviews using a selection and the Remove Rasters From Mosaic Dataset tool. If I wait some seconds after the problem is reported and then close dialog box, the overviews are created for entire mosaic dataset. This patch addresses several issues when working with standard NITF images as well as NCDRD compliant NITF images. The last one is strange because I work with ArcGIS Desktop not Server. Running statistics in Po did not make any change to the mosaic, whereas the Build Overview tool keeps crashing the application at about 5% into the process.
